Lab Assistant

September 2018 • Bradenton, FL

What I liked

Critical thinking to interpret analyzation of jury behavior per deliberation. Team work with group in reviewing the jury observation similarity and differences among different coders. Education in human psychology observation and impacts that material form communication like articles, news video, etc will have an effect on behaviors and using coding to detect bias, skew, comprehension.

What I wish was different

More diversity in gender, I was the only male in a group of 5 other females. Also would be beneficial to receive access remotely so work might be available to complete outside the lab.

Advice

Learn about coding human behaviors before joining to lessen the quite vertical learning curve. It is very hard but if you get it, its very rewarding. So difficulty is in equilibrium with satisfaction, if you consider a 1:1 ratio on input:output.
